DK New Media was established in 2009. Douglas worked closely with the successful launch of Compendium Blogware and established relationships with clients who wanted more. These were corporate blogging clients who wanted to integrate their online marketing strategies as well as incorporate social media strategies. DK New Media was born!
Stephen Coley has worked with Douglas part-time for a few years and is now full time working on integrations, theme designs, plugins, JavaScript, PHP and CSS issues.
In 2011, Jenn Lisak joined the team as a project manager and client advocate. Jenn is a Butler Marketing graduate and a specialist in client communications - especially with email and social media. Jenn is also managing our radio show schedule - bringing some of the best marketing talent in the industry to the show!
Douglas is an established marketer with over 20 years in the industry. He worked in traditional media and direct marketing for a decade when he began working on Internet-based strategies. After leaving the newspaper and direct mail industry behind, Douglas skyrocketed his career by developing measurable online strategies with corporations for over 10 years, specializing in marketing, automation, and integration.
Douglas was one of the first integration consultants for ExactTarget, helping to develop client integration strategies and further develop the ESP's integration capabilities. Over his career, Douglas has worked directly with the Indianapolis Colts, New York Times, Toronto Globe and Mail, Philadelphia Inquirer, Icelandair, United Airlines, Bank of America, Hotels.com, Expedia, Webtrends, Carhartt, Emailvision, Francisco Partners and a host of other companies.
Douglas is the founder of the Marketing Technology Blog - named a top marketing blog for over 5 years, Corporate Blogging Tips - a site for his book - Corporate Blogging for Dummies, the Marketing Technology Vendor directory, Navy Vets social network.
Douglas is also a co-founder of Smaller Indiana and a board member of various startups and charities.
