A new media agency specializing in marketing technology and inbound marketing strategies including search, social, and new media optimization founded by Douglas Karr.
Healthx is a technology company specializing in healthcare management solutions. We're developing multiple infographics on a regular basis for Healthx to provide the industry with facts and information about healthcare costs. This was the first infographic we developed. Since Healthx has a fantastic brand (developed by KA+A), we wanted to make sure that the infographic had a similar look and professional feel.
Odle McGuire Shook is a local architecture firm in Indianapolis, specializing in architecture engineering, landscape architecture, interior design, and historic preservation. When they approached us, we wanted to provide them with a site that highlighted all of their fantastic work. We developed a very clean WordPress site that highlighted a Portfolio of all the beautiful work they've done over the nation. We also incorporated a blog so that they can share all of the great projects they are commissioned to do and the awards they have won for their work. We will continue to help them optimize their online presence with the site, email marketing, and social media strategy. Make sure to check our their portfolio to see all the great work they've done!
The Internet is a really amazing place to work. As an inbound marketing company, we never know when something catastrophic is going to happen to a client and we need to bail them out... or when our clients are going to take off and we need to jump in to keep the momentum going. We like our clients to decide how we're performing by their results. Sometimes, the value that we bring is also in the relationships we've established in the industry, too. Our marketing blog is key in that strategy. Companies look at the authority we've established and appreciate that we can plug them into our network and possibly work with them. Most of our clients understand the value that we bring. I think every agency has a tough egg or two they deal with and we're no different. Thankfully, even the tough company's stats are moving in the...
We've been clammering to do business with the folks at Developer Town for quite a while. They are an exciting incubator here in town with an even cooler workspace arrangement. The products and companies they are launching need a marketing strategy so we're hoping to help out. Our first shared customer is Emerging Threats Pro, security experts who maintain the ET Open ruleset who have grown to develop their own research team and product with their Pro toolset. Peter Lockhart developed the beautiful design for the site as well as the WordPress Theme. Now we're going to work to help optimize the site and ensure it's found effectively in search and social media.
We wouldn't have much of a company if it weren't for you, our customers. This week is Thanksgiving in the United States and we have so much to be thankful for. We're kicking butt and have had a few bumps along the road. As a young company, that's not a surprise. That's why we work hard to overachieve for those clients who appreciate the work we do. As we near the end of 2011, we look forward to the continued growth we're helping your companies sustain in 2012! Happy Thanksgiving!
Jenn and I had an incredible time at BlogWorld Expo this year. The show was tremendous and Rick and his team always bring together all of the key players in the industry. We met long-time associates we've had online connections with and then made some fantastic new connections in the industry. One highlight was spending time hanging out with the folks at WordPress... they were awesome! Los Angeles was an amazing backdrop for the show (although getting stuck at LAX for a night wasn't too fun). In this discussion, Jeff interviewed me for Stitcher Radio regarding the Marketing Technology Blog and our Marketing Tech Radio show.
Delivra is an email marketing company who have a solid reputation for taking care of their clients. With the holiday season arriving, we wanted to take the advice that Delivera has been providing their clients and push out a timely infographic for email marketers to prepare for the holiday season. Combined with data from the Email Marketing council, we developed this festive infographic for the folks! Leveraging and promoting infographics has been a strategy that's worked with several of our clients.
When you get the chance, add DK New Media to a circle over on Google+. We've set up a Google+ page specifically for our community over there. That's in addition to our Twitter and Facebook pages. If you'd like to know how to setup a Google+ page, check out our post on the Marketing Technology Blog.
I was invited to BlogWorld Expo to hold a corporate blogging workshop. The workshops were a new track at BlogWorld, the largest blogging and social media conference in the world. We were more than happy to hold it and the results were incredible. We spoke to a full house of corporate marketers that varied both in size and experience with corporate blogging. The Corporate Blogging Workshop presentation (and notes) are on Slideshare if you'd like to review them. I think this would make an outstanding webinar in the near future! Read more about our Corporate Blogging Workshop at the Marketing Technology Blog. If your company would like a private webinar of our workshop, we can accomodate that as well!
Recently I've been running my mouth a lot about how we're training the unemployed for jobs that are temporary, not creative, or simply terrible. Social Media is truly one of those talents that anyone can acquire. Getting to know the platforms, the communication styles, and the tools of the trade isn't that difficult. Finding talent to manage your social media presence is challenging... mostly because know one knows that these jobs exist! This morning, I joined Marty Thompson... a marketing strategist, and we sat down with an awesome group of folks that simply wanted one thing... a JOB. We walked through Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn and provided the group with tips on how to get started, how to manage their reputation, how to target and acquire relationships with key decision-makers online. Most of all, we taught them how to take the step ahead of their peers and put themselves out...
