We love helping out where we can in the community and the PEERS Project was one of those amazing opportunities. Soon after meeting at MixWest, we spoke with their team and volunteered a free infographic to help them explain the challenges that teens face and how the PEERS Project helps. Since 1998, the PEERS Project has impacted over 1 million teenagers and influenced them to take a different path!
The PEERS Project (PEERS) achieves its goals by partnering with schools and community organizations. PEERS’ local adult Coordinators achieve their common goals by working together to identify positive teenage role models, and to educate and equip them to motivate their peers to be leaders, to avoid all risky behaviors, and to teach PEERS’ positive youth development curriculum. PEERS creates opportunities for teenage mentors to interface with peers by team teaching its age-appropriate, interactive sessions to adolescent participants. PEERS’ program has become an integral part of its schools’ health and wellness curriculum. Some of its schools have had PEERS’ model since 1998.
We donated an infographic for them to utilize in their awareness and fundraising efforts around the state. Please contact PEERS if you’d like to get involved – and let them know we sent you!
